Clare Valley and Yorke Peninsula offer an authentic slice of country Australia. Clare Valley is a place where 'wine and food' means people. It's a region with a warm rustic flavor, and a world-beating wine-list. Here you shouldn’t be surprised if you’re served a champion wine by the person whose name is on the label. It’s where you can watch master vignerons at work in 150-year old cellars and enjoy festivals among the vines. Take time to explore more than 40 cellar doors, many of which offer exquisite dining to match. 

 

 

Sevenhill Cellars

 

Experience the unique history of the Clare Valley's oldest winery and vineyard, originally built to manufacture sacramental wine for religious use. Owned and operated by the Jesuits since 1848, the ambience of the cellar door is best combined with leisurely wander through the old cellars, church and crypt.

 

 

Riesling Trail

 

Aptly named after the Clare Valley’s flagship wine variety, the 35 kilometre Riesling Trail runs between the townships of townships of Auburn, Leasingham, Watervale, Penwortham, Sevenhill, Clare and White Hut. It’s a fantastic way to see the region and is suitable for both walking and cycling, linking together many boutique wineries and townships.  

 

 

Fishing, Surfing & Diving

 

Yorke Peninsula's waters provide some of the best swimming, fishing and surfing beaches in South Australia. The Peninsula is also one of South Australia's key diving areas, with dive trails and shipwrecks waiting to be explored.
