Law

Studying law at Charles Darwin University means studying at a university with a proud reputation for the quality of its teaching and innovative programs. The courses will provide you with a solid theoretical and practical legal education and satisfy the academic requirements for admission to professional practice. While the study of law leads to a career as a solicitor or barrister, it also offers you a multitude of career paths, including politics, the public service, or industrial relations. Or indeed any career in the public or private sector where an in-depth understanding of the law would be an advantage.

Law courses at Charles Darwin University encourage an appreciation of legal issues of special significance to the Northern Territory, including Aboriginal legal issues and South East Asian law. If you are an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander, you can undertake a pre-law program as a basis for admission to and preparation for a full law degree program.

Business

At Charles Darwin University we offer a structure suited to your individual needs, from VET courses through to undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate programs. These options allow you to start your studies at certificate or undergraduate level and, ultimately, after having gained some work experience, to graduate with a doctorate. The business programs coupled with high educational standards and close working relationships with relevant professional bodies enable you to develop the personal and professional skills required to cope with social, professional and technological change in the business world.

Combined degree programs

There is a wide range of options available to do a double degree. Double degrees include a Bachelor of Law with bachelor degrees in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies, Arts, Business, Information Technology, and Science.

Please browse the courses on offer and discover how you can compose your own study path.
