Charles Sturt University continue to support growth in regional Australia::

At Charles Sturt University (CSU), we are proud of the connections we have built and the opportunities we provide for our communities. We are committed to strengthening regional Australia by giving everyone the chance to study at university, to achieve their career goals, and to be supported every step of the way. Our graduates have made significant contributions to the workforce in rural, regional and metropolitan areas in fields like health care and teaching, providing the skilled professionals communities need to grow and flourish.

We constantly work with regional communities and industries to develop courses that anticipate future needs and exceed current expectations from employers. Our course profile is always changing in response to industry and community needs, with a new Engineering degree planned for 2016 and an exciting building project catering for the growth of CSU in Port Macquarie. CSU is ideally situated for research and education in fields such as agriculture, food and water security, and environmental sciences, and provides opportunities for students to gain qualifications in allied health, pharmacy, dental science and nursing using state-of-the-art facilities on campus. Our partnerships and the hands-on nature of our courses contribute to CSU having one of the highest graduate employment rates in Australia, as well as supporting the regional workforce. In fact, 74% of accountants and 43% of teachers in Western NSW hold a degree from CSU.

Our network of study locations across NSW, the ACT and Victoria provide vibrant places to live, work and learn. Each year, CSU’s flow-on contribution to the regional economy is estimated to be more than $1 billion, and the University employs more than 2,000 staff. CSU’s clinics for dental and oral health, allied health and veterinary science provide services to the wider community, as well as excellent real-life learning experiences for our students. We also have more than 20,000 students enrolled by distance education each year, giving them the flexibility to balance study with work and lifestyle commitments and gain a degree in a way that suits them.

We invite you to explore our campuses, find out more about our facilities and services, consider our study and employment opportunities, or work with us to continue to strengthen regional Australia.
