Relaunch of Business Tasmania website::

The Hodgman Liberal Government is a strong supporter of the over 36,000 small businesses operating in Tasmania and the 100,000 people they employ.

Today, I was pleased to officially relaunch the Business Tasmania website, which has been refreshed and updated with additional funding from last year’s budget.

Business Tasmania provides businesses with a one-stop-shop providing access to useful tools and programs including personalised business advice, business mentoring, information on available grants and loans and other content.

The new look Business Tasmania homepage will make it easier for Tasmanian businesses and aspiring start-ups to find the information they are looking for.

Two new programs are now available for businesses to access. These include:

  • Liveplan – This is a leading online business planning tool that businesses can access via their local Enterprise Centres Tasmania to further develop their business plans.
  • Flying Solo – This provides a range of online resources and tools for independent business operators. This includes 10 educational videos, covering topics like marketing, work productivity, and financial advice.

Small business owners and service providers who work with them are encouraged to visit the new Business Tasmania website at www.business.tas.gov.au and register for regular updates via e-newsletter.

Small Business Week continues this week, which is one way the Hodgman Liberal Government is supporting businesses in Tasmania. The 2017-18 Budget also includes $25 million for a youth employment strategy that will help Tasmanian businesses of all sizes give young Tasmanians their first job and training for their future.
